Excellent historical fiction read. A great poetic story about life in the Lodz ghetto during the holocaust. Absolutely a 5 out of 5 rating!

You have exactly five seconds to run to the IMC and check out this book. I'm serious!! Ready? One....two....

Anyways, I really enjoyed this book. It's actually based on a true story, a relative of the author. It was touching and enjoyable. I always like reading historical WWII books. 4.99 out of 5...since some parts were a tad bit depressing to read.

Great novel based on a true story, Jennifer Roy's aunt who survived the holocaust in the Lodz ghetto. If you ever have to read historical fiction this is an excellent story to pick. Some parts are sad but I still couldn't put it down. I give this book a 100+. I love it!!!!

I really liked this book. It's very sad that inly 800 of the 270,000 jews survived, and 12 were children. Although I'm not a big fan of poetry, this book was easy to understand and wasn't like Shel Silverstein where every last word rhymes. Definately 5 out of 5 rating!!!

    I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!
i really liked how it didn't get all gory because most holocaust books do and then i get all grossed out and i hate it. i really like how yellow star was narrated by a young child, so it was an entirely different perspective and experience from most books from that era.
